Gillersheim

The Gillersheim lime plant uses a shaft kiln to produce about 40,000 tons of dolomitic lime for the steel industry. The raw limestone required for this purpose comes from a quarry nearby.

How to get to the Gillersheim lime production plant

from the A7 motorway

you are travelling on the A7
exit at 70 AS Northeim West
turn left onto the B241
follow this road until the end and turn right onto the B3
after Sudheim turn left onto the K414
at the second crossing in Suterode, turn right into Mahntestrasse which changes to Talstrasse and then to Thiestrasse
you are now in Wachenhausen
at the end of Thiestrasse, turn right onto the K413
the Gillersheim lime production plant is 3 km from Wachenhausen
