Glass industry

Glass is the result of amorphous solidification of a mixture of quartz sand, soda, potash and limestone molten at temperatures around 1500 ° C. The calcium oxide in the limestone acts as hardener making the glass hard and dense. This process uses FELS limestone powders which are characterised by a low iron content to permit the production of colourless glass.
