Kaltes Tal

At Kaltes Tal, about 1.5 million tons of very pure Devonian limestone is produced in two quarries. State-of-the-art shaft kilns - two counterflow/parallel flow regenerative kilns, four annular shaft kilns and one shaft kiln - produce about 500,000 tons of highly reactive quicklime. Permanent monitoring of the finished products ensures consistent quality for customers in such industries as iron and steel, building materials, environmental protection and chemicals.
