Application

Ground limestone products are used for flue gas desulphurisation in fossil-fuelled power plants, in plastics processing and the paints industry (filler), in the glass industry (reagent), the building materials industry and compound-feed plants.

Production

Washed limestone chippings are dried in hot air and ground into powders of varying fineness of less than 0.1 mm. In addition, washed limestone chippings are comminuted and additionally screened and sifted. These narrowly sized limestone powders are produced in ranges between 0.05 mm and 3 mm.
