Limestone grit
Limestone aggregate mixtures are primarily used as frost protection and base courses in general and qualified road construction. The cubic grain shape and rough fractured surface of the hard limestone ensures excellent interlocking, load-bearing capacity and stability with the bound and unbound layers of the road construction. Ultra-fine clay mixtures are used for recultivation and earthworks as well as in the construction materials industry.
In addition, washed limestone chippings are crushed and additionally screened. These closely graded limestone grits are produced in ranges between 0.05 mm and 3 mm. Limestone grit is used in the animal feed, building materials and glass industries.
