Joint appeal for the swift adoption of the Carbon Storage and Transportation Act (KSpTG)
In a joint appeal, a group of well-known associations and organizations – including the Federation of the German Lime Industry – has addressed the German Bundestag, the coalition parties and the opposition.
In the appeal, the signatories call for the Carbon Storage and Transportation Act to be passed before the end of this legislative period.
Numerous investments and projects for the transformation of industry in Germany and the transportation and storage infrastructures required for this depend on there being clarity about the legal framework very quickly. This is particularly important for industries with unavoidable process emissions, including the lime industry.
